About Trade Software Reviews

Trade Software Reviews is an independent publication that reviews and compares field service management (FSM) software for home-service contractors — HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pest control, roofing and lawn care.

We started this site for one reason: choosing the wrong software is expensive. It costs you setup time, training headaches, and sometimes a year locked into a contract that doesn't fit how you actually run jobs. Most "best software" lists online are thin, out of date, or ranked by whoever pays the most. We wanted something built from a contractor's point of view.

Who we are

Trade Software Reviews is run by Javier — a solo founder, not a big media company. There's no editorial staff pretending to have installed every platform on a job site. What there is, is a fixed, transparent research method: every price is checked against the vendor's public pricing page, plan limits and fee structures are tracked over time, and findings are cross-checked against verified user reviews on G2, Capterra, Reddit and app stores.

Where a free trial is available, we sign up and work through it — quoting, scheduling, invoicing — and those first-hand trial notes are added to reviews progressively as each trial is completed. When a verdict is based on research rather than first-hand testing, the review says so.

How we stay independent
