Housecall Pro vs Zenbooker (2026): Which to Pick?
Housecall Pro runs the whole business: scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, payments and marketing. Zenbooker is built around one thing, letting customers see a price and book online in a few clicks. They price in completely different ways, so the cheaper one depends on how many people you have and how many areas you serve.

Housecall Pro vs Zenbooker: side by side
Category winners are highlighted in green. Pricing verified against vendor sites, September 2026 — vendors adjust plans periodically.
The short version
Housecall Pro is the all-in-one: scheduling, dispatch, invoicing, payments, marketing and solid online booking in one place, priced by how many users you have. Zenbooker is the booking specialist: customers see the price and book a real slot online, and you pay by how many service areas you cover, with unlimited team members on every plan. Pick Housecall Pro to run the whole business from one tool. Pick Zenbooker when most of your work comes through a booking page.
What each one costs as you grow
The two vendors price on different things, which is why the cheaper option flips depending on your business. Here's the month-to-month price from each vendor's pricing page in October 2026:
| Your business | Housecall Pro | Zenbooker |
|---|---|---|
| Solo, one service area | $79/mo (Basic) | $29/mo (Standard) |
| 5 people, one or two areas | $189/mo (Essentials) | $29/mo (Standard) |
| 8 people, price rules by area or day | $329/mo (Max) | $79/mo (Professional) |
| Several cities or a franchise | Max plus $35 per extra user | $149/mo (Enterprise, 36 areas) or $259/mo (National, 96 areas) |
Housecall Pro's annual billing brings those prices down to $59, $149 and $299. Zenbooker is month to month only, with no contract. Card processing fees come on top with both: Zenbooker runs payments through Stripe, and Housecall Pro has its own processing.
Where Housecall Pro wins
Breadth. It handles the full job, from the call to the invoice, and then keeps the customer coming back with review requests and marketing campaigns. QuickBooks sync means your bookkeeper doesn't have to retype invoices. For a residential business that wants one login for everything, it's the safer pick. Our Housecall Pro pricing guide breaks down each plan.
Where Zenbooker wins
Booking and team cost. The booking page shows the price as the customer picks the service and options, offers only real open slots, and handles recurring jobs and coupon codes. From the Professional plan you can set price rules by location, day, time or how far ahead the job is booked, and customers can book from an estimate. Enterprise adds drive-time aware availability, so the page only offers slots a tech can actually reach. Because every plan includes unlimited team members, adding a tech never changes your bill.
Where Zenbooker is thinner
It covers payments, invoices, a customer list, reminders and a field app for your techs, but it's not a full back office. Its pricing page lists webhooks and an API in beta for integrations, and no accounting app, so plan on exporting to your bookkeeping tool. It also doesn't try to match Housecall Pro's marketing campaigns.
Which to pick
- Customers mostly call you, and you want one system: Housecall Pro.
- Customers mostly book online at a set price (cleaning, mounting, detailing, junk removal): Zenbooker.
- Growing team on a tight budget: Zenbooker, since team size doesn't change the price.
- Your bookkeeper lives in QuickBooks: Housecall Pro.
The verdict
Want one platform for everything? Housecall Pro. Want the best self-booking experience and a bill that doesn't grow with your team? Zenbooker, possibly alongside a separate accounting tool. Both offer a 14-day free trial, so run the same test in each: publish your three main services with prices, book a job as a customer, reschedule it and take the payment.
