JobNimbus vs AccuLynx (2026): Best Roofing Software?

JobNimbus and AccuLynx are the two names every roofing contractor shortlists. One is a flexible CRM you shape around your own process; the other is a roofing-native system that tells you how to run the job. Neither publishes prices, so here's how each one sells, what you get on each plan, and which fits your crew.

The short version

JobNimbus is the flexible pick. Its boards, workflows and estimates bend to the way you already sell and build roofs, and you can test it yourself on a 14-day free trial. AccuLynx is the structured pick. It's built only for roofing, and its Elite plan adds the production calendar, permit tracking and supplement tracking that larger insurance shops lean on. Neither publishes a price, so the real comparison happens in two quotes.

How each one prices

Both vendors quote every customer, so treat any number you see online as a rough guide, not a price.

  • JobNimbus sells its 2026 plans by team size: Essentials for up to 3 users, Pro for up to 10, Premium for up to 19 and Enterprise for 20 or more. Texting (Engage) is billed separately.
  • AccuLynx lists two plans on its own comparison page, Pro and Elite, and offers a monthly subscription without a long-term contract. Several tools are add-ons with their own cost: AccuPay, the Customer Portal, SmartDocs, AccuFi financing, ReportsPlus, DataMart, texting, the Mobile Crew App and AppConnections. The old Essential plan, which had a published starting price of $250 a month, is no longer on that page.

When you ask for quotes, ask both for the same four numbers: the monthly total for your exact user count, the add-ons you'd need to match what the other one includes, any implementation or onboarding fee, and the contract length. That's the only way to compare like for like.

AccuLynx Pro vs Elite

Pro covers the core of running a roofing company: estimates and contracts, job costing, invoicing, profit and loss by job and the mobile field app. Elite adds what a bigger operation needs:

  • A custom workflow manager and setup for multiple company locations
  • A production calendar, production status reports and permit tracking
  • Supplement tracking and mortgage check tracking for insurance work
  • Sales pipeline, closing percentage and prospecting reports
  • Commissions plus advances and paybacks tracking

If you don't do much insurance work or run one location, Pro may be enough. If supplements and commissions are a weekly headache, Elite is the plan that justifies AccuLynx.

Where JobNimbus wins

Flexibility and a lower barrier to start. You can sign up for the free trial without a sales call, build boards that match your stages, and add automations as you go. For a small crew where the owner still sells and runs production, that freedom is usually worth more than a prescribed process.

Where AccuLynx wins

Depth for roofing. Supplier ordering is built in rather than bolted on, and the Elite tools for production, permits, supplements and commissions cover the parts of insurance roofing that generic CRMs leave to spreadsheets. The guided workflows also mean less setup guesswork if you don't want to design your own process.

Before you sign either one

  1. Run the same job in both. One retail job and one insurance claim, from lead to final invoice, including a supplement.
  2. Check your measurement provider. Make sure the aerial measurement service you use today is supported.
  3. Test the field app with a crew lead. Photos, notes and checklists from a roof, on a phone, with weak signal.
  4. Get the export terms in writing. Contacts, jobs, documents and photos, in a format you can take with you.

The verdict

Smaller or process-particular shop? Start with JobNimbus: it's easier to try and easier to shape. Running insurance work at volume with separate sales and production teams? Choose JobNimbus if…

You want to try before you talk to sales, you have your own way of running jobs, and you'd rather shape the software around it than learn someone else's process.

Choose AccuLynx if…

You run insurance and retail roofing at volume, want supplier ordering, permits and supplements tracked inside one roofing-specific system, and have the budget for Elite.

FAQs

Is JobNimbus cheaper than AccuLynx?
Neither vendor publishes prices, so you'll only know after a quote. JobNimbus sells tiers by team size (up to 3, 10, 19 and 20+ users). AccuLynx sells a Pro and an Elite plan, and several tools such as AccuPay, the Customer Portal and texting are add-ons. Ask both for a total with your user count, add-ons and any implementation fee.
Does AccuLynx still have an Essential plan?
Not on its plan comparison page. In October 2026 AccuLynx lists two plans, Pro and Elite. The cheaper Essential tier, which had a published starting price of $250 a month, no longer appears in the comparison.
Which is better for a small roofing company?
JobNimbus is usually the easier starting point: you can run the 14-day free trial yourself, and its smallest tier is built for teams of up to three. AccuLynx makes more sense once you have separate sales and production people and enough volume to use Elite's production, permit and supplement tracking.
Do both offer aerial measurement?
Both connect to aerial measurement providers so you can order reports and build estimates from them. Check which providers each one supports in your area before you sign.
Can I switch from AccuLynx to JobNimbus?
Yes. JobNimbus offers migration help for teams coming from AccuLynx. Export contacts, jobs, documents and photos before your AccuLynx subscription ends, and run open jobs in the old system until they close.
