Best Pest Control Routing Software (2026): Route Optimization for Pest and Lawn Compared

Route optimization is the feature that pays for pest control and lawn care software: the same stops come back every month, so every wasted mile repeats all year. Here is what each tool actually optimizes, the limits that matter in practice, and what routing costs at 1, 3, 5 and 10 routes.

Our top pick

GorillaDesk

For one to about ten routes, GorillaDesk Pro routes with real street drive times, prices by route instead of by user, and publishes every price: $99 a month for one route, plus $50 for each extra route, with no contract.

The contenders

What route optimization should do for you

Routing software takes a day's stops and puts them in the order that drives the fewest miles. For a pest or lawn company, that matters more than for a plumber, because the same customers come back every month, quarter or week. A route that wastes 20 minutes a day wastes about 80 hours a year, per truck.

Not all "routing" is the same. When you test a tool, check four things:

  • Real drive times or straight lines. Straight-line ordering ignores rivers, highways and one-way streets. Look for routing that uses actual roads.
  • What it reorders. Some tools only reorder stops without a fixed appointment time. That is fine for recurring service, but customers with a set window stay where they are.
  • Who it routes. One tech at a time, or the whole team at once. Optimizing everyone together is what lets the tool move a stop to the truck that is closest.
  • Where it runs. Some optimizers only run on the web, so the office plans routes and the techs just follow them in the app.

The catch is in what each one counts. GorillaDesk counts routes, so office staff, a dispatcher and helpers riding along are free. Jobber counts every user, office included, and extra users are $29/mo each. A five-route company with two office people needs 7 Jobber users, which pushes it into the 10-user tier. GorillaDesk's yearly billing gives one month free, and Jobber was running an annual-billing promotion for new customers in late October 2026, so check both for current offers.

GorillaDesk: best for one to about ten routes

GorillaDesk is built for recurring pest and lawn work and prices by route. Basic ($49/mo for one route) lists the day's stops with simple routing up to 25 stops, which is enough for a single truck. Pro ($99/mo for one route, plus $50 per extra route) adds routing with real street drive times, GPS tracking of your team, device barcoding for traps and bait stations, online booking and QuickBooks Online sync. For most companies running two or more routes, Pro is the plan to start with. See the GorillaDesk pricing guide for every route count.

FieldRoutes: best for large route networks

FieldRoutes, the ServiceTitan company that took over PestRoutes, includes route optimization in both of its packages, Growth and Corporate, along with lead management, a customer payment portal and real-time reporting. It is built for companies with many routes, office staff and a sales team. Both packages are quote only and sold through a demo, so ask how the price scales with routes and what onboarding costs. Read our FieldRoutes review.

Jobber: best for mixed-service companies

Jobber's route optimization is solid and flexible: optimize one tech, a group or the whole team, up to 7 days at once, by real driving distance. Two limits to know: it only reorders visits without a set start time, and it runs on the web, not in the mobile app. It is not on the Core plan. Jobber makes the most sense if pest or lawn work is only part of what you do. If recurring routes are most of your revenue, GorillaDesk's pest-specific tools usually fit better. See GorillaDesk vs Jobber.

Zenbooker: routing at the booking stage

Zenbooker is not a route optimizer, but its Enterprise plan ($149/mo) shows customers only the booking slots a tech can actually reach, based on drive time. If most of your new work comes from online booking, that keeps new stops close to existing routes from the start.

How to choose

  • One truck, under 25 stops a day: GorillaDesk Basic, or keep your current tool. Optimization adds little yet.
  • Two to ten routes, mostly recurring pest or lawn: GorillaDesk Pro.
  • Pest or lawn is one service among several: Jobber Connect or Grow.
  • Many routes, office staff and a sales team: get a written FieldRoutes quote and compare it with GorillaDesk Growth.

Whatever you shortlist, test it with your real stops: import one week of addresses and compare the optimized order and total drive time with what your techs do today.

How we checked

We have not run route optimization hands-on in these tools. Features and prices come from GorillaDesk's, Jobber's and FieldRoutes' own pricing pages and Jobber's help center, checked between October 27 and 28, 2026. See how we review software.

FAQs

What is the best pest control routing software?
For small and mid-size companies, GorillaDesk Pro: it optimizes routes with real street drive times and costs $99 a month for one route plus $50 for each extra route. For large route networks with office staff and a sales team, FieldRoutes includes route optimization in both of its quote-only packages.
Does GorillaDesk optimize routes on the Basic plan?
Basic has simple routing limited to 25 stops. Routing with real drive times (GorillaDesk calls it Drive Matrix) starts on Pro.
Does Jobber have route optimization?
Yes, on the Connect, Grow and Plus plans, not on Core. It reorders visits by driving distance for one person, a group or the whole team, up to 7 days at a time. Only visits without a set start time are reordered, and it runs on the web, not in the mobile app.
How much does pest control routing software cost?
GorillaDesk Pro is $99 a month for one route, $199 for three, $299 for five and $549 for ten, billed monthly. Jobber Connect is $139 a month month to month for one user and $199 for up to five users. FieldRoutes is quote only.
Is routing software worth it for a one-truck pest company?
Often not at first. With one route and under about 25 stops a day, a plan that just lists the day's stops in order is enough. Optimization starts paying when you add a second tech, take on new accounts every week, or run spread-out rural stops.
Does the same software work for lawn care routes?
Yes. GorillaDesk, FieldRoutes and Jobber all serve lawn care, and the routing works the same way for weekly mows as for monthly pest services.
